I practiced clinical neurosurgery in Tucson, Arizona, from 1992 until 2023, treating a wide array of neurosurgical disorders that included malignant brain tumors, complex spine and skull base tumors. I attended medical school at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and finished in 1985, and trained at the Barrow Neurological Institute from 1986 through 1992, in addition to completing a skull base fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. I became aware of cell phone radiation since its infancy and have been intrigued and wary of the developing technology that I saw progress over the years of my career. After my wife was diagnosed with electrohypersensitivity syndrome, I became extremely interested in the issues of electromagnetic fields well over 15 years ago. I now serve on the board of the Environmental Health Trust and have given nationwide presentations and published in this field. It is without question that, during my career, it became readily apparent that the use of cell phones that my patients exhibited was in no way benign. I saw a direct link between scalp infections, post-cranial surgery, and even spine infections as a result of cell phone exposure. It was not uncommon for me to find many of my patients in bed in the postoperative phase with a cell phone and computer in the bed, in immediate proximity to their surgical wounds. It is now well documented in the literature that the electromagnetic fields that are produced by wireless devices clearly affect tissue healing, affect the voltage-gated calcium channels, and produce oxidative stress. There was a clear connection between those patients who develop wound infections postoperatively and their cell phone use. It is also without question that those patients who developed glioblastomas invariably had a high correlation between the laterality of the tumor and the side of the head where they use their cell phone most frequently. 'In fact, the EPA [Environmental Protection Agency] began the process of developing exposure guidelines but then never finished it as funding was cut off. The EPA drafted stage 1 RF exposure guidelines and sent them to comment prior to release in 1996. Stage 1 was only for thermal effects. The EPA announced that Stage 2 would protect against non thermal effects and would be ready in 1998. Then the Telecommunications Industry Association lobbied Congress to prohibit the EPA from releasing any guidelines. The 1996 Appropriations Bill that Congress passed defunded the EPA’s work in this area and contained language specifically prohibiting the EPA from increasing its regulations stating that “… EPA should not engage in EMF activities”. The 1996 Telecommunications Act gave authority over the health effects of wireless technology to a non-health agency–the FCC. The US Government Accountability Office published a report in 2012 urging the U.S. Federal Communications Commission to revisit the outdated safety standards for the exposures from wireless devices. The 2012 report states, “The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) RF energy exposure limit may not reflect the latest research, and testing requirements may not identify maximum exposure in all possible usage conditions.” The American Academy of Pediatrics, which represent over 62,000 pediatricians in the US has repeatedly called on the government to update its regulations stating that “Current FCC standards do not account for the unique vulnerability and use patterns specific to pregnant women and children." The California Medical Association (which is the California branch of the AMA), which represent over 40,000 physicians. passed a Wireless Resolution that states: Whereas peer reviewed research has demonstrated adverse biological effects of wireless EMF including single and double stranded DNA breaks, creation of reactive oxygen species, immune dysfunction, cognitive processing effects, stress protein synthesis in the brain, altered brain development, sleep and memory disturbances, ADHD, abnormal behavior, sperm dysfunction, and brain tumors; and…Resolved, That CMA support efforts to implement new safety…

I have Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS), which the medical authorities refuse to diagnose. I once operated a 170 ton electric crane, which within a few days after starting this position, my health began to deteriorate. I started to suffer, which become chronic, insomnia and nausea. After nearly nine months in 2017 at this job my mental health declined to a point where I could not function and work. My symptoms in addition to insomnia and nausea, included headaches, body aches, brain fog, vertigo, dizziness, vision problems, confusion, complete exhaustion, and just an overall feeling of sickness.

Unemployed, I found my health started to improve. However, due to the necessity to work, I soon discovered a direct correlation between my health and modern technology. When surrounded by technology including WiFi, computers, wireless devices, and homes with photovoltaic inverters, my health would almost immediately decline, to what I can only describe as radiation sickness. If I worked in a rural location, I had virtually no significant health issues.

Upon extensive research, It become completely apparent that I had contracted EHS. My doctors originally did some tests, but their only suggestion was to speak with a clinical psychologist. My current Doctor has now confided in me stating that he is seeing an increasing number of people with my symptoms, but there is no way to diagnose this condition, and that it is not a formal illness.

My life is now completely destroyed! I can not work or visit places where there is any significant exposure to artificial toxic electromagnetic fields. Modern society is now basically entirely polluted with harmful radiation. I am convinced that unregulated exposure of massive amounts of toxic artificial electromagnetic fields is one of the main causes of all forms of illness, and is destroying all of our ecosystems.

the most common subjective complaints from those exposed to these frequencies included headache, fatigue, perspiration, dizziness, menstrual disorders,  irritability,  agitation,  tension, drowsiness, sleeplessness,  depression, anxiety, forgetfulness, and lack of concentration.

I’ve been harassed by ELF since 2000, the first day I arrived at Detroit airport USA. It was aggravated to high intense directed energy burning /zapping in 2011. Every inch of my body has been burned, injured and wounded.

Stop Smart Meters Australia Inc is submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure – Docket No. HHS-OASH-2026-0397.

We are an Australian volunteer advocacy group, which was formally incorporated as an association in 2013. The organization was established in response to widespread community concern following the commencement of a state-wide mandatory rollout of smart meters across Victoria in late 2009.

In particular, public backlash centered around a sudden spike in adverse health effects that occurred in tandem with the introduction of wireless smart meters. Installation of RF-emitting electricity meters resulted in immense, and frequently life-changing, harm to a number of Victorians.

Our response to the questions raised by HHS is contained in the attached PDF.

in 2011 smartmeters and its supporting towers and infrastructure upgrades began destroying my life in ways i never thought possible.i was comfortable in that apartment for over a year.my body was put into fight or flight ,insomnia for years,agitation ,heart palpitations,massive headaches,random muscles permanently tensed to the point of pulling small bones in my neck and back out of place . no agency i called would help .my cats started acting out of character ,the female refusing to come in ever again but for 4-5 minutes to growl while scarfing down food we became perpetually homeless not being able to find anywhere these new utility meters ,and rapid conversion to wireless everything ,werent.the other 2 cats were bleeding from ears and nose ,my son having huge nosebleeds ,and the county ,city,dept of transportation ,and land use and development continually adding more antenna of their own at the intersection right outside my home.moved to my dads ,he bought me a travel trailer to keepme off the street ,and i couldnt tolerate being in it if it was plugged in as the damage done to me turns out to be irreversible and induced intolerance to household/hygiene chemicals i used my whole life any kind as my body is so damaged from that ongoing increasing wholebody smartmeter exposure,so from 2018 till dad died jan 2020 i slept on the floor of dads parking garage and 2021 till now i am under hwy powerlines in a trailer i cannot plug in nor tolerate using propane in ,cant tolerate shutting the door or i cant brathe,cant call emergency if my heart fails ,cant tolerate the super connected massively wifi'd hospitals OR the synthetic drugs since smartmeter injury anyway ,smartgrid here is twacs so powerlines are completely overloaded with transients to the point of already catching fire dripping coaxial that could have burned me alive hadnt i limped outside at dusk wondering what that flickering was when the LED streetlight here shut off when it send the ground surge blowing the power out ,all neighbors blasting xfinity wifi home routers with a powerfulmobile network they als transmitthrou ,smart tv's,parking radar enhanced blue tooth ready wifi'd cars feet from my bed.NO…
