I have a long history, medically documented of severe EMR Syndrome, (www.emrsyndrome.org). It is difficult for me to go out. I have trouble walking due to a mobility impairment. The neighbor’s WiFi, wireless security systems, especially the newer ones, exacerbate my disability. The smart meters are especially difficult for me because our houses are so close to each other. I cannot tolerate using a computer and have asked Pennsylvanians for Safe Technology to submit my comment. Please work for a safer FCC guideline, for analog meters and to allow me to keep my landline, it is my lifeline. I am isolated.

At a time when everyone has a communication device strapped to their fingertips, I am not able to do that, and they are planning to take away my only way to communicate with those outside my house, my landline.

With my disability it is so unthinkable to not have a way to communicate, to make a simple phone call, even in an emergency.

I urge HHS to prioritize independent research into the potential long-term health effects of radiofrequency radiation and to transparently evaluate whether current exposure limits adequately protect public health.

My concerns include possible cancer risks, exposure beginning in childhood and continuing throughout life, and whether research adequately reflects today’s devices and exposure patterns.

There are scientific findings that warrant follow-up. The National Toxicology Program’s studies found clear evidence of malignant heart schwannomas and some evidence of malignant brain gliomas in male rats exposed to radiofrequency radiation. These were high-exposure animal studies using signals associated with 2G and 3G technology; they do not establish that everyday wireless exposure or 5G causes cancer in humans. Nevertheless, they deserve careful investigation.

Human research also needs to be represented accurately. The large COSMOS cohort study did not find increased brain-tumor risk among people with the greatest cumulative mobile-phone call time. Reassuring findings should inform policy alongside animal findings and remaining uncertainties.

I ask HHS to:

• Fund independent, long-term research, including studies of children, contemporary wireless technologies, and well-characterized exposure levels.

• Evaluate cancer, reproductive and developmental outcomes, sleep, and neurological symptoms, clearly distinguishing established effects from preliminary findings.

• Review exposure standards transparently and explain how they address long-term exposure and potentially vulnerable populations.

• Require disclosure of research funding and conflicts of interest.

• Offer practical, proportionate guidance for people who wish to reduce exposure, including increasing distance from phones during calls.

People reporting symptoms they associate with electromagnetic exposure deserve respectful clinical attention and rigorous investigation without assuming the cause in advance.

The public deserves clear information about what is known, what remains uncertain, and what evidence would justify stronger protections.

Many thanks to you for taking public comments on the damaging consequences to health from the electromagnetic radiation (EMR) emitted by all high-tech devices. Until about 15 or 20 years ago, I never had any trouble sleeping in my entire life. Then, suddenly, from one day to the next, I had tremendous trouble sleeping. I could not get to sleep for hours, I could not stay asleep, or get back to sleep when I woke up throughout the night. I was mystified, because NOTHING had changed in my health or my life. After several months of this, I happened to hear an alternative health show on the radio. The topic was dangers to health and life from EMR. Often, the show's expert host said, the first consequence people notice is trouble sleeping. I realized a new neighbor had moved in when the trouble started. She confirmed she had installed WiFi in her apartment. The day the WiFi was installed, my sleep problems began. There has been irrefutable confirmation in the subsequent years. When I have traveled to countries where no one has cell phones or WiFi, I slept like a baby again. When I have traveled to heavily wired places, I could only manage to sleep 4 hours a night, and I need 8. Close friends have suffered more severely. One friend has spent 20 or 30 years using Bluetooth in his car to make phone calls. He spends 3 or 4 hours a day using Bluetooth, as he drives from job to job for the business he owns. The Bluetooth is in his left ear. He is now almost entirely blind in his left eye. The radiation has beamed straight into his optic nerve. A parade of ophthalmologists can find no other cause. Another friend lived a completely wired life. She had a cell phone, and a Tesla that charged in her garage, on the other side of her bedroom wall. She also had a cordless phone, which means she essentially had a cell tower in her living room spewing radiation. She had powerful WiFi throughout her home. She used a laptop computer, which she literally sat on her lap, its screen aimed at her midriff. The lymphoma that killed her started in her midriff. Timeline of Exposure and Onset of Symptoms • June 11, 2021: A mobile phone base station 550 metres from my home (RFNSA Site ID: 6280011) underwent a major upgrade, introducing multiple new frequency bands (700MHz to 2600MHz). • June 12, 2021: I experienced severe, inexplicable thermal sensations ("heating up") on my back while in my bedroom. So the next night, I changed rooms. • Night of June 13 / Morning of June 14, 2021 (6:00 AM): While sleeping in a middle bedroom with a west-facing window, I was awoken from a deep sleep by an intense neurological sensation which was like a massive bolt or flash of power entering the left side of my brain and which seemingly had entered through the west side of my home. • Ensuing Days: I developed immediate and acute Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) symptoms, including physical discomfort around wireless devices and localized paresthesia ("tiny shocks") when entering my home office. 2. Response from an individual in Denmark who has been severely and chronically injured by RF/EMF exposure after mobile phone base stations and microwave links were installed 10–12 metres from my home. I am an IT professional with more than 40 years of experience, a public lecturer, and the developer of a GIS system that maps base stations, measured RF power density (mW/m²) and disease data in Denmark.

The attached document answers RFI questions 2–18, with question numbers marked in [brackets]. It includes my personal case (Q3), observations from 53 other affected people (Q4), and research-documented effect levels from 0.001 mW/m² up to cancer from 0.7 mW/m², all far below the FCC/ICNIRP limits of 4,500–10,000 mW/m² (Q6, Q12). It also covers a comparison of international exposure standards and protective laws (Q5), documented conflicts of interest and court rulings (Turin Court of Appeal; EHT v. FCC, D.C. Cir. 2021), surveillance proposals (Q10), sensitive populations (Q11), environmental effects (Q14), proximity of infrastructure (Q15) and policy recommendations.

Main requests: an official diagnosis code (e.g. "Illness caused by microwave radiation"); biologically based power-density limits in addition to SAR; minimum distances between masts and homes and schools (as in Hawaii County, 600 ft); radiation-free zones and restitution homes for the injured; and independent, industry-free research.

As a physiotherapist who is also electro-hypersensitive, I spent 25 years in private practice—15 of which were in a dedicated professional space I had built in my own garden. I shielded this space so that I could continue to practice my profession and treat individuals who, like me, were electro-hypersensitive and had become lost within the medical system. My neurosensory approach allows me to explain why we are all electrosensitive and why any of us could potentially become electro-hypersensitive. I practice the Dicke and Teirich-Leube reflex massage—which focuses on the skin’s connection to the nervous system—and I employ a holistic, behavioral approach to the body (utilizing the Mézières method and the GDS muscle chain system). To understand this, one must look to embryology: the skin and the nervous system share the same embryonic origin. Lacking any natural shielding, the skin is regularly subjected to hyperstimulation from the artificial electromagnetic fields (EMFs) generated by the wireless technologies and the pervasive electrical infrastructure now found throughout our living environments. The nervous system, under constant assault by these EMFs, becomes unable to maintain the body’s homeostasis. This leads to a breakdown, manifesting in a wide range of symptoms: headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, hyperacusis, neuromuscular and joint tension, skin issues, heart palpitations, anxiety, a sense of oppression, digestive and gynecological disturbances, neurodegenerative diseases, chronic illnesses, and cancer—as well as cognitive impairment, insomnia, exhaustion, and physiological depression. Any neurosensory cell can become a source of pain when subjected to persistent aggression. Certain cells are particularly sensitive to these constant vibrations—for instance, Pacinian corpuscles, which respond to frequencies between 30 and 1,500 Hertz. I have had SYMPTOMS for many years now and it makes me ill. I would hear a hum at night all the time and even holding my cell phone my nerves in my hand would start to tingle. It severely affects my immune system and I am sick all the time. Many nights I cannot sleep from it. My body is very sensitive to it.

EMFs not limited to wifi, cell towers, cell phones, electrical meters have ruined my life after I became EMF sensitive when 5G was installed. At the very least , cell towers should be removed from residential areas. I’ve heard it all, it’s in your head etc, there needs to be awareness about the harmful effect of EMFs.

inventhealth.care respectfully request The Department of HHS to extend the comment deadline by 30 days. The RFI requests evidence across distinct scientific, technical, public-health, and regulatory issues, including exposure measurement, existing safety standards, vulnerable populations, environmental effects, cumulative exposure, and federal research priorities. It expressly invites supporting studies, datasets, technical reports, and regulatory analyses. The current 30-day period is insufficient to permit interested parties to assemble and verify such materials and submit a technically grounded response.

Thirty additional calendar days would permit respondents to verify sources, assess the relevance and limitations of technical evidence, consult appropriate subject-matter experts, and submit better-supported information. The requested extension would provide 60 calendar days in total from publication of the RFI, while leaving the Department free to continue reviewing materials already received.

An extension would improve the quality of the record available to the Department before it uses these submissions to inform future recommendations or policies. The request is limited to 30 additional days and does not seek to delay the Department's review of comments already received.

On March 23, 2024 my life changed forever. I don't think I will ever be the same. The electric company came to install a new smart meter. That night I experienced heart palpitations when I laid down. I did not sleep a wink the entire night. Every few seconds I would experience a jolt of EMF radiation that brought me to wakefulness. In fact, I did not sleep at all for 4 nights. After that I was able to sleep for 1 hour to 1.5 hours a night. This went on for at least 9 months. I experienced vertigo continually and especially when a cell phone was turned on. We turned off all radiating devices, and I felt a little better but not much. I was forced to purchase EMF protective clothing which helps a little but not enough. I attempted to have the electric company remove the smart meter but they refused. After several weeks, anxiety and depression set in. I have never in my life had any of these before. After about a month I started losing weight. I lost 1 pound a week in spite of the fact that I was eating twice as much food as previously. I lost a total of 26 pounds over 26 weeks. I had to eat 4 meals a day. If I ever got to the point where my stomach was empty, it felt like my body was digesting itself. I have been to numerous doctors, chiropractors, nutritionist, and body workers of all types. I have purchased devices to try to neutralize the EMF radiation. Some things helped a little and some not at all. About a year and a half later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I am trying to recover from that. All together I have spent 100,000.00 to attempt to recover my health. I don't think I will ever be the same again.

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this very important topic! I have been very concerned about the increasing amount and strength of EMF from all sources, especially the ones that the general population does not have an option to opt out of, like smart meters, cell phone towers, 5G, etc. There are numerous health studies that I have heard about from Europe, where scientists have been studying the effect of man-made radiation on people, and the results are catastrophic. I am especially concerned about children. I myself am sensitive to radiation, and depending on the strength and length of time of the exposure, I get headaches and nose bleeds. I also have a child who had a health issue that is very likely to be at least partially caused by radiation damage, but definitely has been effected negatively by exposure. My child's symptoms range from flu like symptoms to bone and joint pain. I would love if the negative health effect of radiation exposure at any level would be more seriously investigated, and European research and limits would be studied and utilized in the United States as well. I am extremely concerned about the rapid expansion of wireless towers near our homes, neighborhoods, and schools. These towers are being installed everywhere, often without families having any meaningful say in how close they are placed to where we live and raise our children.

This recently became very personal for me when I learned that a new tower is going up approximately 0.3 miles from my home… my family’s safe space. I am angry and deeply upset that infrastructure transmitting RF radiation can be placed this close to homes without stronger protections for the families who live there.

I am especially concerned about children. They spend hours every day at schools and daycares and potentially have an entire lifetime of wireless exposure ahead of them. We need more independent research into long-term and RF exposure, especially in children.

There should absolutely be mandatory minimum setbacks between wireless towers and homes, schools, and daycares. I believe they should be at least one mile away or more! Every tower should also be independently tested after installation and regularly thereafter to determine how much RF is actually reaching nearby homes and schools. Those measurements should be publicly available so families know what levels are reaching the places where they spend their lives.

Technology is advancing quickly, and our research and protections need to keep up. Parents and homeowners deserve transparency, meaningful community input, independent testing, and the ability to feel safe in their own homes. Please put the health and well-being of our children and communities first.

Urgent Legislative Action Required: Protecting Citizen Rights and Holding Telecoms Accountable for the 5G Infrastructure Deficit

As a citizen and a consumer, I am submitting this comment to demand immediate legislative intervention regarding 5G network deployments and telecommunications marketing.

For years, telecom conglomerates have used grand promises of technological revolution—combined with fear-based marketing tactics—to coerce the public into expensive 5G data plans. However, the reality we face today is a severely fragmented network, unstable connectivity, and unfulfilled promises. While these corporations reaped record profits by charging premium rates, they systematically failed to invest in the robust infrastructure they guaranteed.

Furthermore, the forced phasing out or artificial slowing down of stable legacy networks like LTE has stripped citizens of their right to affordable, reliable communication. This is no longer just a market issue; it is a failure of consumer protection and public interest.

Therefore, I urge lawmakers to enact strict legislation that:

1. Penalizes deceptive marketing and holds telecom companies legally accountable for infrastructure deficits.

2. Enforces mandatory refunds or rate reductions for areas where promised 5G speeds and stability are not met.

3. Guarantees consumer sovereignty by protecting the right to access affordable, reliable, and unthrottled legacy networks.

Public airwaves and national infrastructure must serve the common good of the citizens, not the insatiable greed of corporate monopolies. We demand accountability, transparency, and immediate legislative action.
