I am writing to share my support for keeping our wireless networks open and expanding our internet infrastructure, including 5G and Wi-Fi. Having reliable wireless access is incredibly important for everyday life, and I do not believe we should limit it or slow down its growth.

Please consider these points:

• My family relies on this technology every day: High-speed internet and wireless connections are not luxuries anymore—they are tools we need to survive. We use them for school, talking to doctors, and keeping in touch with family. If we restrict the wireless spectrum, it could hurt regular people and businesses who need this connectivity.

• Public safety depends on it: Cell towers and wireless networks are how we call for help in the remote rural area where we live. Police, firefighters, and paramedics rely on these networks to do their jobs and protect my family and our neighborhoods.

• Major health agencies say it is safe: From what I understand, major health organizations—like the FDA and the World Health Organization—have looked at hundreds of studies over decades. They have consistently found that the low-level signals from Wi-Fi and cell phones do not cause health problems. The radiation used is "non-ionizing," which means it is too weak to cause damage.

• There are already safety rules: Our government already has strict safety limits in place for cell towers and devices to make sure they are safe for the public.

Conclusion

While it is always a good idea for scientists to keep studying technology, we should not make rules that hold us back based on fear instead of facts. Please keep our wireless spectrum open so our communities can continue to grow and stay connected.

Patents disclosed for years the penetration of 5 Ghz signals (“5G”) on the human body. A patent for a vascular system measuring necklace (KR20170017989A) , filed in 2017 before the Korean patent office, discloses: Radar source can be divided into 2Ghz, 5Ghz, 10Ghz, 20Ghz area according to permeation depth by using general RF generator. However, it is most efficient to use 10Ghz source at 5GHz because of different penetration / Do. The sensor has a dedicated radar sensor with a middle wavelength in the wavelength range, which improves detection efficiency and minimizes the amount of energy consumed. What is the penetration efficacy of 5G? In the Korean patent, it is: “the biometric information includes blood pressure, blood flow velocity, color information of blood or blood vessels, pulse, blood vessel thickness, etc.” That is a lot of very personal information 5G can read just by being close to our bodies. Cells feel 5G acutely. In studies done on E. Coli and yeast cells, the 5 Ghz signal was found to influence cellular division ( 5G mobile networks and health—a state-of-the-science review of the research into low-level RF fields above 6 GHz | Journal of Exposure Science & Environmental Epidemiology ). The risk of cancer (constant, uncontrolled cell division) is so well-known that one U.S. patent assigned to Fractal Networks LLC explicitly discloses “Cancer Minimization of 5G Cell Phones” . In that patent US11658407B2, where our cell phones contain varied antennas to capture the 5G signal, a revised reflecting cavity inside the cell phone “can change a radiation direction of the 5G antenna to reduce the electromagnetic radiation on the user. In one embodiment, if the user puts the phone next to the face, sensors detect such usage scenario, and uses the 5G antennas most away from the user to increase antenna efficiency and reduce radiation on the user.” 5G is different from the networks that came before it because 5G ( US11658407B2 - Cellular system - Google Patents ): is used to designate fifth generation of mobile technologies. 5G has made it possible to use mobile phone with larger bandwidth possible. It is a packet switched wireless system. It is used to…

There is a tower in the middle of our town on a river bluff. We don't get service from it because we are below it in a holler. The service tower for us is the next big city in another state.

It is never quiet. Only when the power goes down to the tower is it ever quiet. What damage does it do?

I have stage IV lobular breast cancer. I have lived here ten years. The cancer I have forms in crystal type and I have one small area of one breast that is affected. But this cancer has eaten holes in all my bones and created these crystal like formations.

The frequency of the tower I believe has caused a turbo cancer in me. There is no family history of breast cancer in my family. Actually only one who has developed cancer was in their 80s.

As a military individual do I need to remind the less educated concerning the dangers of RF energy. I am a Broadcast Engineer Served aboard the US Ticonderoga with the Spy 1 Radar system as well as other radar and RF communications systems. Do I need to mention the swelling testicles or the eyeballs itching or the digital watched being fried and going black? I guess I do. Now we surround ourselves with: Led bulbs that emit RF radiation. Cellular Phones that emit 4G and 5G radiation and sometimes many in a single household. Laptops Book readers. Alexa units. television sets. Yes your television also emits RF radiation. WIFI routers of which I have 4. 3 for security Cameras and one for Starlink. How about Meshtastic and Meshcore? How about every "smart device" you have? Your video doorbells Every WIFI enabled camera. I have 6 of those. How about that Child Monitor by your baby's bed? Yes that too! CB radio guy wit a base station? Ham radio guy with a base station? Then there is the electrical monitoring system from Emporia Energy of which I have two. As well as every additional special reporting adapters for the freezers and the refrigerator as well as the freeze dryer. Then there are the smart temperature sensors monitors inside the freezers. Oh and the desktop with WIFI and Bluetooth. Bluetooth in my car and the garage door opener. How about that remote for the ceiling fans and the remote for the television? Bluetooth for the irrigation system? That too. Oh and how about that "SMART METER" the electric company put on the side of your home as well as the sides of your neighbor's homes? Those crank out HIGH LEVELS of toxic RF radiation. Then there is the 5G monstrosities every block as well as the Cell Phone towers and all the additional commercial transmitters they stack on them. . . I may have made my point? Perhaps not? ALL of this energy is additive as in 1+1=2+1=3+1=4 Note the above is in my home even though I have tried to wire all that I can with shielded cable. You just can't shut all of the signals off. They keep on transmitting, cabled or not. Imagine each source like a lightbulb, only ones YOU cannot see but any RF meter can. Is your home shielded…

I am submitting this comment as a consumer concerned about long-term exposure to wireless radiation from phones, Wi-Fi routers, cell towers, and other connected devices.

I urge HHS to conduct a thorough, independent review of whether current exposure limits adequately protect public health. This review needs to consider those most heavily exposed and should examine potential effects beyond tissue heating, including evidence concerning cancer, reproductive health, and children’s development.

Please prioritize research that reflects how people actually encounter wireless radiation: repeated exposure over many years, often from multiple sources and devices used close to the body. Assessments should consider signal strength, pulse patterns, duration, and combined exposure.

Please consider Melnick and Moskowitz’s 2026 analysis of animal data, which argues that existing exposure limits may inadequately protect against cancer and reproductive harm (https://doi.org/10.1186/s12940-026-01288-6). I also ask HHS to evaluate Lai and Levitt’s review of exposure intensity, duration, and signal modulation (https://doi.org/10.1080/15368378.2022.2065683), and Scarato’s review of US regulatory gaps and proposed reforms (https://doi.org/10.3389/fpubh.2025.1677583). These papers warrant careful consideration alongside the broader evidence, including studies that have not found adverse effects.

I ask HHS to:

•Assess whether additional protections are needed for children, pregnant women, and other potentially vulnerable groups.

•Support long-term research with safeguards against industry conflicts of interest.

•Provide clear information about exposure and practical ways to reduce it, including wired alternatives in homes and schools.

•Recommend updated standards wherever the evidence shows that existing limits are insufficient.

Consumers should not have to navigate these questions alone. Please use this inquiry to advance transparent science, meaningful oversight, and public health protection.

Concerned Patron

As Commercial Radio Communications Technician I wanted to suggest a couple experiences I have witnessed.

This comment is by no means formal and I want to apologize for that. This is a simple example of my personal experiences as an individual installing commercial wireless network.

I want to express concerns and exposure experiences about 4G/5G wide band equipment in close proximity. Personally I dread when an issue happens involving starlink antenna systems. As an installer a latency test must be performed for best antenna alignment in general. This pertains to Starlink WAN antennas and cellular omni systems. My personal exposure to these systems is weekly. As i primarily operate vhf systems below 50 watts.

Now with some context I just want to offer my exposure experiences. Wide band antenna systems with diversity antennas are a moderate concern personally. It is very common to experience short term memory loss for 5G in my experience personally. Almost brain fog as working and alignment of wide antennas. Another type of exposure I have personally involves smart meter RF in close proximity to where I sleep. It is very common to have an insomnia feeling as the smart meter is 6’ away on the outside wall from my bedroom pillow. We are unable to opt out of smart meter living in rural Pennsylvania.

The reason for this comment is with the new satellite spectrum licensing proposed by the FCC happening. As a commercial installer it is very common to align starlink antennas for best latency testing. In doing so I personally have had my face near this equipment and I can say I have received a microwave effect to my head. This feeling is not so much warm but once you feel it you will avoid it at all costs. It causes instant discomfort and specifically to the crown of my skull. I really appreciate this agency opening for public comment. I think the ultra wide band measures taken by the FCC may be misconstrued by SPCX valuations. Personally this is a warning to anyone reading this never hold one of these 2 devices to your head.
