Curious to know if emf causes autoimmune issues. Both my son and I now have autoimmune diseases that we never experienced issues with before. We moved into a home right next to a cell tower.

I entered into a lease agreement to have a 5G tower built very near my home. My neighbors objected citing health concerns. I felt at the time they were probably jealous that they didn't get the lease on their farms.Fast forward 10 years and the utility company is proposing a massive 765kv/161kv powerline to be built in front of my home. I have researched myself the safety issues this would cause to my family. No precedent has been set or law made to restrict either of those to my home. But I do know that being sandwiched between the two would be dangerous. I know my circumstance is unique but in this country how could there not be setbacks from dwellings.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure.

I am responding from the perspective of a patient.

I suffer (greatly) from all the wireless communication (EMFs) exposure. I suffer with terrible head pain, ringing in my ears (tinnitus), with a severe vibrational/tingling sensation in my mouth and face. Along with extreme fatigue and brain fog. So much so that I've been medically disabled with this condition (EHS). To the point that not only am I unable to find a "safe" work environment. But I am unable to find a "safe" living situation. Meaning, I've been living out of my vehicle for years constantly moving from one spot (which I can only tolerate for so long) to another spot. Non-stop 24 hours a day. It has now gotten to the point, thanks to all the newer, stronger and more harmful technologies that are being deployed, that I will have to leave the city (greater Seattle area) I've been living in for the past 40 years to some place out in the boonies. Essentially becoming a hermit and living "off the grid". Which in and of itself is a very unhealthy lifestyle.

I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.

I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.

From 2019 to 2023, I lived in a 3rd story apartment where I was unkowingly exposed to high chronic levels of emf. My husband and I moved there in 2019. Later that year, I started having inexplicable exhaustion, inflammation and body aches which have been worsening progressively while living there, despite me getting various therapies and lifestyle and dietary improvements. We also had unexplained infertility. In 2022, I decided to get an EMF meter. My husband and I were surprised to measure very high levels of radiation in specific zones that resembled 'beams' cutting through our apartment, even when our wifi was powered off. Certain locations in our living room where we worked from home, and the kitchen where we spend a lot of time cooking, were registering levels of radiation that were far above the normal threshold. In 2023, my husband was walking home and noticed a discreetly hidden cell tower in the parking lot a couple blocks from our apartment. He noticed that the positioning of the tower correlated uncannily to the angle of the beams in our apartment, entering from the side where we have a large glass patio balcony door. We think we have finally found the culprit for the ridiculous levels of emf we had been chronically exposed to, along with many other residents who may be suffering unknowingly because of it. At that time, I reached out to the city to ask who authorized the tower location and height, but received a response that they have very little regulatory control over it. I am so glad we are finally looking into this at a federal level. Can we better regulate the companies to require actual research proving the required clearances to avoid health effects? Can we also require ongoing monitoring since this is a new technology and start getting some longer term studies? Though we had lived in that area for many years and enjoyed its quiet and safe community, this issue has been so harmful to our health and quality of life that we decided to move out because of it. I can hear a high pitched buzzing sound that gives me headaches with a 5G tower outside my window. After I pointed it out to other people they can hear it too. I was wondering why my first words when I was 2 years old was “big tower”. I could only imagine what we are being subjected to and how it’s affecting our bodies.

My ex husband died August 23, 2025. He was 79 years old. He had been very healthy all his life. He didn't smoke, or take drugs or pharmaceutical medicine. He only drank an occasional glass of wine and ate very healthy. He was not over weight.

His only vice was scrolling on the internet for hours with laptop on his lap.

He had the router for the house near his bed and the smart meter was right outside his bedroom window.

He carried his cell phone in his left front pocket.

He had a sarcoma tumor on his left hip near the location of cell phone.

He also had small tumors in his brain, and he had been wearing wireless earphones.

He died 6 weeks after I took him to the hospital.

It gives me headaches body pain fatigue . Its horrible for our body !

I used to wear my phone in my right leg pants pocket, after a few years I developed a numb patch on my leg where I used to keep my phone. I feel more sensitive to the cell phone radiation now. That area starts to hurts a bit after only a short period if I put the phone there. I try to keep it on airplane mode as much as possible now to avoid unnecessary data transfer through my body tissue. If I hold the cell phone to my head for a call I start to develop a headache after a brief period, so I try to use it on speakerphone as much as possible or limit telephone call length. I don’t get these symptoms when using a corded headset.

I look forward to broader implementation of fiber optic internet and a return to hard wired communications systems wherever practical.

It can’t be healthy for society to be swimming through a sea of radio signals constantly.

I didn't have thyroid or other health problems until the local utility company put a 5G tower in my front yard in Denver, Colorado. It was pushed through without public comment or input during the pandemic. The sub and sub-sub contractors didn't have a permit to use a boring machine in my front yard. The door flyer left on my door had a phone number that went to nowhere. The whole thing was so fake. I hope municipalities and telecom companies are held liable for the damage they've done to people and animals alike.

50 years ago, when I worked as a broadcast engineer on a high-powered TV transmitter, I was aware that the risk of a brain tumor in my profession was double that of the population. Ever since, I've made efforts to avoid EMF. I use Ethernet for my computer and streaming box, even though WiFi would be more convenient. It is difficult to find wired products, as the presumption by manufacturers is that the public wants wireless. The FCC has been completely useless when it comes to protecting the public health. Its refusal to reopen the silly 1996 thermal standard for human EMF protection was a pure industry give-away.

There is a great deal of scientific evidence of the harms of EMF on living tissue. Dr. Martin Pall's discovery of the voltage-gated calcium channel was the first plausible mechanism presented for how biological damage occurs. Dr. Henry Lai at the University of Washington has done pathbreaking research. The Environmental Health Trust has been a leader in this field. Please focus literature reviews on studies completed by independent researchers. There is such a long history of industry-influenced studies in pharmaceuticals as well as in telecommunications that industry-sponsored research cannot be trusted.

Since those electromagnetic exposure fields affect all of us, it seems to me to be a quite important subject to evaluate.We cannot all be researchers in labs, so we must depend on those who are specialists, just like we are not all cops, members of our city council, and so on. We each have our own role in contributing to the well being of our society. So we depend on others for the parts that we personally cannot really take an active part in. I appeal to the officials who should be involved in studying this , EMF, RF, and wireless radiation exposure , to do their job, and take the actions necessary to protect the rest of us from harms.

EMF is too low frequency to do any health affects to humans. Same with RF, same with wireless.

I am a parent and grandparent and I am concerned about cell phone usage causing cancers or other health effects and there are studies that show it is plausible. This study is one of many. Brain tumours and mobile phones. Yang et al. (PLoS One, 2017; 11 studies, 6,028 cases): mobile phone use of ten years or more was associated with glioma, OR 1.44 (95% CI 1.08–1.91); same-side use, OR 1.46 (1.12–1.92); low-grade glioma, OR 2.22 (1.69–2.92). No association with high-grade glioma. PMID 28472042

There is entirely too much! Provide familes the ability to block signals.

I believe this matter is more of a systemic issue rather than the true effects of electromagnetic energy being used for any purpose that could potentially cause harm. I know this to be true because several diplomats were detoured from exposing these serious implications. A court hearing was held discussing the societal implications of nanotechnology on April 9th 2003. In the court hearing directed energy capabilities were discussed and also the ability it had to affect and manipulate the neurological functions within the brain and nervous system. HHS also covered a pdf discussing emerging technologies where nanotechnology had the ability to potentially “hack humans” and their medical devices. This just shows the wide range of dangerous avenues emf is capable of carrying out if used nefariously and not monitored. A simple biopsy would prove the defects and abnormalities within the muscle tissue from prolonged exposure to electromagnetic fields and energy. A blood test for blood cell clumping as well would prove this to be harmful also. It’s completely pathetic that our top researchers have to be told energy on the electromagnetic spectrum can be harmful. This is no different than asking can fire burn you. Our organs function off of the electromagnetic energy spectrum so why wouldn’t a external source of the spectrum be able to disrupt or violently cause harm on the micro-scale. I spend a lot of time at rice university lab and nano engineering facilities and I can prove with 100% certainty that this question of if it’s harmful or can be weaponized is a complete no brainer.

Question 3: I believe I developed breast cancer as the result of exposure to EMF at work and home. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001. At the time I had been working for over 4 years at a computer company which didn't have WiFi, but a large number of computers, printers and other devices plugged into outlets in small cubicles. Using a Microsurge meter (similar to an oscilloscope), I got a measurement of 2,000 G/S units from testing the outlet. At home I found measurements over 200 G/S units measuring the outlets with electronic devices such as my tv, computer, etc. To mitigate this exposure, I installed filters (capacitors) to reduce the G/S readings. I sought medical treatment for the breast cancer, and have kept the filters installed in my home. I have been cancer free for the past 25 years.

People are stupid as shit if they're concerned about any health risks from them. They don't know what they're talking about. Everything is a conspiracy if you're absolutely stupid.
