I support the study of electromagnetic fields and associated regulations that protect the public.

I am a volunteer with Save Temecula, a nonprofit organization formed in 2026 to fight San Diego Gas and Electric’s proposed Golden Pacific Powerlink featuring 145-mile long 200’ tall 500,000 volt extra high voltage power towers/lines through a densely populated area of Temecula, CA. This is the largest and most invasive project SDG&E has undertaken through a well-established urban area. As a volunteer, I have spoken with thousands of residents who say one of their major concerns, behind wildfires, is EMF exposure. This project would be only hundreds of feet from homes, businesses, schools, churches, daycare centers, playgrounds, parks, walking paths, an historic district, etc.

This investor owned utility downplays our concerns, saying that studies find EMF harm to be inconclusive; they compare exposure to our microwave ovens that we generally use for minutes rather than on an ongoing basis. However, residents are so concerned that they are willing to move elsewhere if the power towers are approved by the California Public Utilities Commission. In less than five months, more than 12,000 people have signed a change.org petition against this project and in just a couple months, more than $30,000 has been raised to fight it.

Additionally, I have a friend whose husband died of brain cancer, which adds to my suspicion of EMFs. She and her husband purchased a home in foreclosure overlooking the Southern California Edison extra high voltage lines in Corona. This young man’s past time was working in their beautiful backyard.

Furthermore, some of our community leaders and local utility experts have extensively studied EMFs, and they have concluded this is potentially harmful to human health.

I believe the SDG&E Golden Pacific Powerlink project (which will be filed with the California Public Utilities Commission mid-November 2026) and others like it should be placed on hold until Federal studies have concluded. Otherwise millions of people will be paying for this outdated infrastructure through significant rate increases.

When my son was a baby in 2010-2011 we’d walk in an Apple Store- he was peaceful and happy, very quiet and relaxed. After standing in line about 5 minutes he started screaming and crying uncontrollably and I couldn’t console him- so o took him out side - within 10 seconds he stopped and became peaceful again. So after about 5 min I went back in the store with him and got back in line- in less than a minute he started screaming and crying again. So I took him out again and he stopped crying. That was the last time I took him in an Apple Store.

When he was about 3 - I was a realtor and I did majority of my work at home- this day I needed to use my brokers office- I started working on my laptop - he was just playing with toys sitting at the table I was working on - and all of a sudden he just fell of his chair, I was trying to figure out what happened. - and he couldn’t stand straight and kept falling to the side like he had lost his balance - he was dizzy . The only thing I could think of was the Wi-Fi was on throughout the office. At home I always used a Ethernet cord. So I gathered my things and took him outside - after about 2 min he regained his balance.

3 years Later a new friend had come over w her parents and she brought her Nintendo switch- while we were talking with the parents he and his friend were taking turns playing on the handheld Nintendo switch- about 30 minutes later they stopped playing and I noticed his cheeks were super red - like cherry red and it was basically over both sides of his face. The only thing he was doing was holding it and playing a game.

I think definitely Wi-Fi and emf radiation need a lot more studies to be done- the harmful potential of how they affect children and adults has been overlooked and neglected by our government .

There are unique folks like myself. I already have hearing damage related Tinnitus. That's bad enough.

During the covid shutdowns, the 5G installations by us went on, and went faster. To my unhappy surprise, I started to hear a transformer-like low hum occasionally. I searched the house for a source - upstairs, basement, attic, over our garage. Then it came back, louder, sleep interruptive, and constant. As it happens, my phone switched to full 5G at the same time, and I saw the new poles and boxes all over.

Sleep is now fetching, as it's an intrusive noise. Not Hyperacusis, it's only this sound. It's not present when I'm in other places.

Commenting that I'm not alone - - and the fact that these are near schools is concerning, let alone outside someone's front window.

I have worked on cell towers. You cannot climb a 5g tower but you can hold a 5 g phone. I have Electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) if I pick up a iPhone with 5 g my hands will tingle. If I put the phone in my pocket my leg will feel the effects. This affects people differently based on factors I really don’t know. It’s the same reason living near power lines gives people rare conditions. The goal would be to make a 4 g system connected to a 5 g like system that people don’t have to touch. Give people 4 g phones with converters at the towers.

For years I've said that the towers affected my sense of balance and introduced ringing in my ears. It is always stronger when new towers and/or added frequencies occur. I believe that the signals travel on wind too. I've had several episodes immediately following towers being added to areas near my homes over the past 7 years in both Maryland and Florida. The pattern is that I begin with dizziness, complete unbalanced and vertigo symptoms. When it's at its worst, I'm curled up on the ground up to an hour until it passes. Doctors say I test fine (ENT, brain scans, balance tests, labwork). It always relates to new towers. The ENT said it "could be" a type of Meniere's Disease, but that doesn't make sense when all of the medical conditions were ruled out. The only factor remaining was cell tower growth nearby. It definitely has affected my life. Overall, I have always been sensitive to electric energy but the tower waves are much more intense. I believe that when the wind carries stronger signals, I experience heavier ringing in my ears and headaches, sometimes acoompanied by nausea. I think it's extremely important to study this and act quickly. Thank you.

Our community has been having issues related to the cell towers put up, and the second new cell timer put up recently. These towers are close to our community schools and our community. Our childeren have been experiencing high blood pressure, swelling, headaches, and bloody noses. Our community is also at risk of thyroid issues. Doctors are claiming this is genetic. Our family has never had issues with our thyroid until now and we are a family of 7. All of us are having issues with our thyroid. One of my children also suffer from suicidal intentions with her mental health and fear these cell towers dont make things easier for any of us.

I am writing to formally request stricter regulations on anthropogenic electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and to advocate for the official medical recognition of Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS). Current public exposure standards fail to account for non-thermal, biological effects that severely impact human health. Scientific evidence proves that EHS is a definitive neurological disorder characterized by oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, and objective physiological biomarkers. Furthermore, recent molecular research highlights that chronic EMF exposure triggers genetic toxicity and impairs vital cellular repair mechanisms. To support this urgent need for tighter biological safety limits, I submit the following peer-reviewed scientific studies: 1. On DNA Damage and Genetic Toxicity: Sonzogni L, Al-Choboq J, Combemale P, et al. Skin Fibroblasts from Individuals Self-Diagnosed as Electrosensitive Reveal Two Distinct Subsets with Delayed Nucleoshuttling of the ATM Protein in Common. This crucial study confirms that individuals with EHS suffer from a delayed or impaired cellular response to DNA double-strand breaks when exposed to EMFs, providing clear evidence of genetic vulnerability and organic pathology. 2. My life has changed dramatically since the advancement of 5G, 6G, Smart Meters, Wi-Fi, Smart phones, Smart TV's, Smart Water Meters, Smart Refrigerators, etc., everything is coming out SMART.

I was getting sicker and sicker (2019 - 2025) living in my home in Myrtle Beach, S.C. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, my ears ring to the umpth degree, I cannot think straight, I'm exhausted all the time. I started researching what was making me so ill. I found out that within a three mile radius of my home there were 600 5G Towers and Antennas. I was literally being fried as if I were in a microwave oven because the radioactive frequencies from all this technology. My husband and I decided we had to move away from all the technology pulverizing us to a bad end. At 66 years old moving was very hard on us.

We moved and my health has improved to a degree but, I still have 100 5G Towers and Antennas within a three mile radius of our new home. My ears still ring so loudly I can't think sometimes. My sleep is better although it is broken every night.

Please help us by stopping the technology that is killing us all.

10 years ago in Sept 2016 I was a healthy 24 year old who just found out I was expecting my first baby. That month my small office sold my parking spot for a big cell tower to be built. That next month my health completely plummeted. A rash completely took over my face, arms, neck, and chest and I soon miscarried the baby (blighted ovum) took me years to fully recover. Interesting in my small office about half of the people had a health crisis that month. The secretary walked in one day, got to work and then couldnt stand up again. She had to get wheeled out in her office chair and was diagnosed with some sort of fungal infection. Took her months of rehab to walk again. My boss had a terrible diverticulitis flair and another person had a mini stroke. Other factors I wonder about is the susceptibility of those with hEDS or those with additional mold exposure as these other factors for me. I'm very suspicious that it was a combination of these factors. And that's why not everyone experiences the same reactions.

I live in Germany and used to work for IBM and Airbus Helicopters. In April 2000, I had an epileptic seizure. My Neurologist sent me to a center for Epilepsy and they found an abnormality in my brain called "Polymicrogeria": many little wrinkles. They explained that this abnormality in the brain is formed by too few Oxygen in my Mothers womb. It all made sense. Since birth I have always had a little "Hemiparesis" on the left side of my body. That was all. Beside the problems moving my hand, I was healthy. I agreed to try out anti-epileptica. After a while neurologists had found "Keppra" that kept me stable without making my extremities shake or making me sleepy. I did not have seizures until 2012. Then, seizures started again. The answer to my question: "Why?" was "Age". That was rediculous, as I was 40, not 90. I got each new medicine that was released. However, the seizures remained. The two drugs I still take (Lacosamid and Briviact) dampen the activity of neurotransmitters and receptors in my brain.Seizures remained and became worse. I started falling. In 2020 my wife said, she cannot cope with my epilepsy, so we divorced. Neurologists and a Rehabilitation clinic said that I was drug-resistant. In Europe, this led to a pension due to incapacity for work. I could stay at home. Then I sat alone at home and recalled what had happened in the years between 2000 and 2020. I started using WiFi, Cell Phone and Blue-Tooth. Could that have causes my misery? I bought devices that measure and save RF-Power densities. Computers, Excell, etc. was my profession, so I used these devices for 7x24 measurements that I compared with the date/time of my seizures. A new high voltage transmission line was placed in my front yard in Granger, Tx without public comment in 2024. My symptoms of MS have flared significantly and now we add Psoriasis to my autoimmune disease list. This action by Oncor is forcing me out of my newly renovated forever home for my disability.This is not natural MA progression to add new issues. My body is electrically short circuiting with no new lesions or degradation of nerves.

“I hope that HHS will use this opportunity to create a comprehensive report on the current medical, biological, and public health knowledge regarding these effects and take action on that. Please consider the experiences of those affected by this radiation as part of what is reviewed to come up with what should be the scientific underpinnings to actual protective standards and action by the federal government.”

Federal Research Priorities

16. What are the highest priority research gaps regarding EMF and RF radiation and public health that the federal health agencies should address?

I am in healthcare industry. I am not aware of comprehensive statement by HHS or similar authoritative agency on safety of the wide range of RF and EMF devices and the levels - acute or cumulative - of emissions. For my tax monies I expect a government agency to step up and step in to the gap created by industry who likely are not enthusiastic for such studies to be conducted. My position for science-based conclusions goes across industries that have widespread exposure to humans, animals and the environment. The potential that a large number of sub-studies can be conducted to reach a comprehensive conclusion and I hope the agency gets after the project. I am pessimistic the results will be good as it pertains to impact on humans, animals and environment.

I am writing as a concerned parent of three young children to express my support for greater research, transparency, and public awareness regarding electromagnetic fields (EMFs), radiofrequency (RF) radiation, and wireless radiation exposure.

Our children are growing up in an environment with nearly constant exposure to wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi routers, cell phones, tablets, smart devices, and wireless systems in schools. While these technologies provide many benefits, I believe we need a better understanding of the potential long-term health effects of cumulative exposure, particularly for developing children.

I respectfully urge federal agencies to:

* Prioritize independent, long-term studies examining chronic RF exposure, particularly in children and other potentially vulnerable populations.

* Investigate potential biological effects beyond tissue heating, while carefully evaluating the quality and reproducibility of the evidence.

* Reevaluate current safety standards in light of modern wireless technologies, changing exposure patterns, and emerging scientific findings.

* Encourage practical, low-cost exposure reduction measures in schools and homes, including access to wired internet connections when feasible.

* Increase public transparency regarding exposure levels, research findings, and the scientific basis for safety guidelines.

As a parent, I believe we should not have to choose between technological advancement and taking reasonable precautions to protect our children’s health.

I am not advocating for fear or the elimination of wireless technology. I am asking for responsible oversight, rigorous independent research, and a precautionary approach where meaningful scientific uncertainties remain.

Our children deserve thoughtful, evidence-based policies that prioritize their long-term health and well-being.

A smartmeter was installed on my house in Portland, OR in April of 2019. I did not authorize the attachment of a wireless radio transmitter on my property, that information was never presented to me. Within weeks I started having serious heart palpitations which became more and more intense as time went on. I started waking up around 3 am with my heart racing, unable to get back to sleep. I found some relief by turning off the power to my house every single night. I appealed to Pacific Power with a series of certified mail letters in order to get my analog meter back, to no avail. I soon found that my tolerance for exposure to any man made radiation was diminishing, and could not continue my business which was computer based cad drafting work. My best option was to sell my house and close my business, which is what I did. I took an early retirement and live now without electricity, and have not had any serious heart issues since I left my house with the smartmeter in Portland.

I wasn’t diagnosed with my genetic condition, EDS, until I was in my 60s. The Mayo Clinic tests in 2013 resulted in the head doctor telling me “You’re a walking Geiger counter for carcinogenic products.” Then asked: “What’s wrong with Boston hospitals?” Over 100 Boston doctors at all top eight Boston hospitals could not figure out why after being prescribed ZPac for what turned out to be a viral, not bacterial, infection almost killed me. My friend’s father died from Zpac around 2010 when I first became deadly ill from it. Pfizer now has a black box on it warning it can’t be taken when low in potassium. Grateful the Mayo Clinic knew I had Multiple Chemical sensitivity (MCS). In fact, a MGH specialist I met with upon returning to Boston agreed the ZPac destroyed the natural bacteria on my gut. A mycotoxin, Trichothecene, was found in my blood. Doctors warned never let anyone try to remove it as you could die in the process. I documented everything when I got strong enough when this happened. It was on Care Pages publicly available. A doctor in China read it and her daughter helping me let me know two years BEFORE our doctors. My medical condition results in a reduction in oxygen to the autonomic system of the brain because the molecular size of the carcinogenic chemical reduces the amount of in my blood getting into the autonomic system that controls everything the body does naturally. I DO NOT NEED TO “SMELL” the carcinogenic chemicals. My body reacts before any ability to even think of getting away from the chemical. My tongue swells, I have difficulty breathing, I lose my voice and if the amount of some chemicals are even a minuscule amount then I can’t move. Top MGH doctors have now witnessed this happen and after providing oxygen up to 15L one group of hematologists asked “Can you please explain what happened? We’ve never witnessed anything like this.” I keep my laminated Mayo and MGH diagnosis letters with me in case I can’t speak and need oxygen. My prescription is with them. BTW: That incident was due to MGH four page phamplet that had just come out of the box so the ink, a petroleum product, had not aired out yet. What’s this got to do with EMFs? Well,…

We have a digital meter on our home outside our kitchen window. It is not a smart meter but it is a wireless meter for reading purposes. When I sit at the kitchen table the digital meter is about 5 to 6 feet away on the other side of the kitchen window on the outside wall. I almost immediately start to have an upper chest pain start up and go across my entire chest. It will persist when I sit in this chair close to the wall with the digital meter on the other side.

This only happens when I sit at this kitchen chair that is close to the digital meter on the outside wall. When I get up and move and walk away the pain subsides. Even if I am cooking in the kitchen I do not have this pain. It only happens when I am stationary sitting at this chair that is close to the outside meter.

The EMF's from this digital meter I do feel within our home and have to be detrimental because of the symptoms I experience only when I sit close to this digital meter. No one else in the home uses this kitchen chair to sit at during the day. Please investigate the EMFs emitting from the digital meters and the smart meters.

I help to run a registered charity for people suffering from the illness M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), in England, UK.

Electromagnetic sensitivity including wifi is not uncommon as a co-morbidity with ME/CFS. Multiple Chemical Sensitivity appears to be more common as a co-morbidity with ME/CFS sufferers.

I know personally of two M.E. sufferers who cannot use mobile phones and react badly to other electrical products, e.g. televisions.

I myself cannot use a mobile phone unless I use shielding for my head, otherwise the pain I experience is like being hit on the head with a hammer.

I know of a lady who does not have M.E., but she is extremely electrically sensitive, especially to mobile phone masts. At times she is so ill that she has to live in a shielded hut in a garden.

I wake up every day with headache and feeling sick i used to live under a radar station when i was younger and suffered the same thing i moved about 5 miles away and the headache and sickness went this was in the 80s since the late 90s early 2000 my headaches and sickness has return and to me it seems like its getting worse since the release of 3 g 4g and now 5g im 100 percent effected by electro magnetic fields you are killing me and many others if i go to the country side my headaches and sickness go snd ive said this for many years to people around me and my doctor .

I am very curious and concerned about the effects of EMFs on the body and brain. In addition to addressing 5G towers I think it is pertinent to also look at the EMFs stemming from autonomous cars and delivery robots. Is it a health hazard to ride in an autonomous car? Is it a health hazard to be next to one unwillingly in traffic?
