FCC regulations regarding cell phone towers and cell phones are 30 years old. The technology has advanced considerably since the 1990's, the regulations should as well. There have been numerous long-term studies conducted on all forms of cell phone associated emissions form virtually every first world nation world-wide and the overall consensus is that there is harm to ALL living things based on proximity to the towers and the devices themselves. Stricter regulations have been implemented in dozens of countries based on these long-term studies, yet the United States continues to lag woefully behind. It seems that capitalism and profit trump safety and health. I suggest reading the attached Final Report of the Commission to Study the Environmental and Health Effects of Evolving 5G Technology. The FCC's power re: cell phone technology allows the agency to run roughshod on the welfare of the citizens of the United States and it needs to change.
