Abstract

Comments on Measurements and Analysis of Personal Exposure to RF-EMF Inside and Outside School Buildings E. Arribas, R. Ramirez-Vazquez, I. Escobar. Comments on “Measurements and Analysis of Personal Exposure to RF-EMF Inside and Outside School Buildings: A Case Study at a Kosovo School." IEEE Access, 2022, doi: 10.1109/ACCESS.2022.3198975. Abstract In this comment we present a table with the measurements of the personal exposure in the two Wi-Fi frequency bands inside educational centers such as colleges and universities, in different countries, with the aim of complementing and comparing the measurements carried out in a large school in the city of Pristina, Kosovo. We obtained that the maximum value was recorded in Spain with 120 μW/m2 and the minimum value was recorded in Switzerland with 1.19 μW/m2. The mean value of the data in Table 2 is 36.9 μW/m2, the median is 22.2 μW/m2, and the 95th percentile is 110 μW/m2. ieeexplore.ieee.org

Main findings

This comment compiles and presents a table of personal RF-EMF exposure measurements in two Wi-Fi frequency bands inside educational centers across different countries to complement a case study from a school in Pristina, Kosovo. Reported values in the compiled table ranged from a minimum of 1.19 μW/m² (Switzerland) to a maximum of 120 μW/m² (Spain), with mean 36.9 μW/m², median 22.2 μW/m², and 95th percentile 110 μW/m².

Outcomes measured

  • Personal RF-EMF exposure levels (power density, μW/m²) in two Wi-Fi frequency bands inside educational centers

Limitations

  • This is a comment/compilation rather than an original exposure measurement study as described in the abstract.
  • No health outcomes are reported in the provided abstract.
  • Frequency bands are referenced but specific frequencies and measurement methods are not described in the provided abstract.
  • Sample sizes and selection criteria for the compiled measurements are not provided in the provided abstract.
